Chris proposed at the Metropolitan Art museum without permission.
This Man's Marriage Proposal That Will Likely Get Him Banned At The Museum For Eternity
The moment you decided to propose to your special someone, the very next thing to come to mind is, "how." The ideal proposal should be romantic, a place that has a personal significance to the both of you, to ease the pressure and come up with ideas most people get help from family or friends. You'll do whatever it takes because the most important thing is, that special someone should say "yes!" even if it will cost you to be banned in a museum for life, for an epic proposal!
Metropolitan Art Museum, New York City
Meet Chris. It all started when he took his girlfriend, Marybeth to the famous Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City to ask the big question.
On bended knee, Chris proposed to Marybeth with his painting in the background.
As Chris and Marybeth were walking the aisles in the museum they stopped in a room dedicated to Picasso's art which was Marybeth's favorite. With the help of his brother and sister-in-law, they were able to hang a painting that Chris made beside Picasso's works of art. The painting was about him proposing to Marybeth wearing a polka dot dress next to a Picasso (which was exactlly what she was wearing and in the exact spot).
After he received the signal and ready to go, he immediately brought Marybeth to his painting and she began to cry when she realized what was about to take place.
He then bent his knee, and she nodded "yes" in tears. Her cousin who waited for them to arrive at the museum and who had been undercover took photos and documented the romantic moment.
Chris had help from brother and sis-in-law to hang his painting.
But the beautiful moment was disrupted by security guards and demanded the removal of the painting and told the couple to leave the building at once.
He proposed next to Picasso’s art
“I knew she’d be wearing that dress because I had her mom buy it a few weeks in advance for her and then convinced her to wear it that day,” Chris said. He also called few museums for permission to get his plan done, but sadly none agreed. He decided to just do it at the biggest museum he could think of and ask for forgiveness rather than permission.

After a few more photos, they left the building, and the rest is history!
