Teacher Spends 70 Hours For A Harry Potter Themed Classroom Year. (Look It Is Hogwarts!)
Let's admit, that going back to school is quite tough sometimes, especially for the students who aren't that social, new grade, new classes, new teachers, new friends and sometimes even new schools. If it's not hard enough when you are a kid to wake up early in the morning and prepare your school bag, uniform, and exams. And for one awesome teacher, decorate their respective classroom to make the students feel excited to learn all year long.
Meet Kyle Hubler, and he is one creative teacher in Oregon that created an inspired Harry Potter classroom for his 7th and 8th-grade students now called the Hogwarts doppelganger.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry-themed dreamland
Kyle Hubler teaches at Evergreen Middle School Hillsboro, Oregon. Growing up he was a big Harry Potter fan and that's why he decided to transform his classroom into a Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry-themed dreamland. Super cool, isn't it?
He took a total of 70 hours to transform his classroom from ordinary to extraordinary!! He spared no details. He used actual Harry Potter merchandise from his house and what he was able to find online. There were an incredible array of props, gadgets and of course wands. His goal was to surprise the students and make them feel them like they are in a magical room inside a Harry Potter adventure.
He also made some decorations in his office
"Hogwarts school year 2017-2018! I got to reveal the classroom to my students and definitely, they loved it!" Seeing their faces fascinated and lit up paid all the time and effort, totally worth it! We're going to have a fun year!" " Kyle said.
The teacher posted his magical makeover on Facebook, and it went viral as there are some awesome photos and a video tour of the decked-out space that would surely make Harry Potter proud.
The magical makeover
Aside from decorating his classroom, he hung a red wallpaper in the hallway, and above his front door, a signage reading Platform 3/4, written just like at the movie. And like in the Great hall, the emblem of the four houses, namely Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Slytherin, and Ravenclaw were hung from the ceiling and candles tied up with string.
Kyle confessed that he was an absolute big fan of the Harry Potter books and taught him lessons about acceptance, loyalty, and integrity. He heard students gasps in amusement and saw jaw drops to the floor.

"I really love what I do, and I love the students get to work with. In the past, the book was an escape for him when he felt like he needed one and that's what inspired him to make such an unbelievable classroom transformation.
"If the students feel that they might need an escape from certain aspects of their life that might be causing them distress, I would like them to feel like coming to my class serves as a refuge where they can feel comfortable and accepted and optimistic. I want them to feel like my class is a place they are excited about going to and to have fun learning", he said.

Kyle said that the school's principal and other teachers were excited, and he hopes other educators will be inspired and if possible follow his example to make their learning environments more fun. Thank you, Kyle, for the effort and for sharing your creativity. This will surely inspire your students to go to work every day! Way to go!
