Soldier Receives an Urgent Call From Wife, Breaks Down When He Heard the Good News

A true soldier fights for his country and the welfare of his countrymen. They are known to be brave, highly skilled, combat ready, courageous, clearly a hero for all.

In line with their service, being a soldier means sacrifice and being away from his or her family, and it's basically the hardest part they have to endure. They miss a lot of family occasions, just like being with his wife when giving birth to their first child.

Brooks was so happy when he saw his baby.

Brooks Lindsey, a military man from Mississippi, nearly missed the chance to see the first minutes of his newborn. Since soldiers are only allowed to travel back home for their child’s birth if the labor is complicated, Brooks thought that he wouldn’t be able to be at his wife’s side. 

However, it changed everything when her doctor called and told her that "blood pressures were too high, and the baby was being stressed and I was preeclamptic” she said. 

The doctor advised her to go right away in the hospital in an hour because the labor must be induced. And at this instance, this landed Brooks the permission to go back home.

But things didn’t go as well as expected. He could only book a flight for the next morning. “I was sure that we would already have a baby by then!” said Haley.

Another unfavorable situation for Brooks was his flight was delayed. He had no choice but to wait for their next flight. Even though he couldn’t make it in time to see the birth of his daughter, he had a chance to see the wonderful moment on his phone.

“My Doctor told my mother-in-law to pull the phone out and show him what was going on, ” Brooks wife said. Despite the fact that the soldier had to board a plane, airport personnel allowed him to watch till it was over after they heard Haley’s doctor shouting “Don’t let him board the flight! She’s here! She’s here!”.

Brooks finally arrived to meet his daughter and had 4 days to spend with his family.
