An open letter to her daughter, written by Toni Hammer
Mother's Open Letter For Her Daughter
Being a parent is a tough task. All you wanted for your kids is for them to grow up kind, loving and able to live on their own in the future.
But aside from that, especially for the mothers, instilling their children's confidence is also their number one priority. That is why one mother, wrote an open letter to her kid, posted it on Facebook and it went viral.
Toni Hammer is a writer and mother of two
Meet Toni Hammer. She is a writer and a mother of a kindergarten student who wrote 13 "dont's" for her daughter, and she hopes she should never do just to make others happy. Let' read her rules below.
Toni's first rule: "Don't apologize when someone else bumps you."
“She deserves to grow up with self-confidence well beyond her years.”
Second rule: "Don't say 'sorry to be such a pain, you're not in pain. You're a person of thoughts and feelings who deserves respect."
And her list goes on and includes a lot of things most people in our society compulsively apologizing for, even when they, obviously didn't do wrong. The reason for this was there's a danger especially with girls on apologizing too much as they will end up apologizing for who they are.

The rule will remind the young ones their self-worth and value as they grow to become adults. And eventually, encourage them to believe that "no one's happiness is more important than their own."
And Toni's final rule, "Don't apologize for being who you are. Be brave and bold and beautiful. Be unapologetically you".
"Don't apologize for being who you are.”
Toni's rules were so straightforward and can be applied to everyone. As it doesn't only teach an individual to love oneself, be confident, but it also teaches one to have respect.
If every daughter follows what is written in the post, they will certainly grow up the way parents want them to be,
Thank you, Toni, for sharing your "13 Don't Rules" and every mother will surely agree!
“No place in this world is, as safe as my mother’s womb, And nobody in this world is, as loving as my mother.”
