Treasure loves them as her own.
Meet The Boxer Who Adopted Eight Abandoned Piglets
Spectrum Plants in Australia’s Gold Coast isn’t your everyday, garden-variety garden center.
Along with the plants, you’ll also find several farm animals, including lambs, chickens, pigs, and a formerly stray Boxer dog named Treasure.
Treasure, the boxer dog who adopted 8 piglets.
Wes Trevor, the owner of Spectrum Plants, received a new litter of tiny pink piglets, but the piglets were in terrible shape.
Trevor knew the piglets needed some extra care to regain their health, and luckily, he wasn't the only one who took care of the piglets, as Treasure decided to adopt the piglets. “She was just a natural mother and started taking care of them,” said Trevor.

Treasure hadn’t had a litter recently, but allowed the piglets to nurse anyway, and began producing milk for them instantly! Alarmed by the situation, Wes consulted a veterinarian, who gave Treasure the "clear" status to continue nursing the piglets, as long as they didn’t injure her.
Treasure not only feeds them, but she also keeps an eye on the piglets, just like a good mom would! Wes said “She does it for the fun of it… One day they escaped, and she went after them and acted as a mother would.”

“She was a stray before she came to us, so we don’t know what her history is,” Trevor said. Treasure became part of their family when they adopted her 18 months ago.
The animals at Spectrum Plants were never meant to be an attraction of any sort, but the customers loved the family pets so much that they’ve become part of a sort of a small petting zoo!

They get extra love and pets from visitors who shop for plants and have become a major draw for the family’s business – especially Treasure and her new little family!
