A Canadian woman named Mary Grams lost her diamond wedding ring on her family farm 13 years ago. She was so devastated that she only told her secret to her son. She didn't tell her husband or any other family because it was so important to her.

Her daughter-in-law Colleen Daley lives on the farm where Mrs. Grams used to live, went to harvest vegetables in the garden. And then one day, she pulled a carrot on their farm and found something amazing-- a ring! The carrot had grown straight through the ring, enabling it to be plucked out after many years hiding in the soil.
Colleen told it to her husband, and he instantly knew the ring was the one his mother was looking for thirteen years ago.

Her son then called his mom's house and told his family. His dad was in total surprise because he found out Mary had been keeping a secret for 13 long years.
Mary commented: "Maybe I did the wrong thing, but you get so worked up."
Mary was delighted, and now that she has her precious wedding ring, she said that she would be extra careful this time.

"If I am going outside or anything I am going to put it in a safe space. That is what I should have done in the first place," she said.
