Baby Hippo
Adorable Baby Hippos That Will Make You Want More
Baby hippos are one of the cutest mammals you'll ever see. Hippos are known for being bad-tempered and uncooperative, despite their huge built, you can't deny that these little critters are charming!
Hippopotamuses are believed to be roaming the world for around 55 million years. They come from Sub-Saharan Africa.
Hippos love water and so the Greeks named them, '"River Horse'". They are considered to be the third-largest land mammal after elephants and white rhinos, and you wouldn't believe that their closest relations are actually whales and dolphins!

Hippos are herbivores, so their diet consists mainly of grass. Despite their enormous stature, hippos can easily outrun a human! And they can be very aggressive, especially when threatened.
Hippo calves or babies weigh about 100 pounds at birth and can suckle on land or underwater by closing their ears and nostrils. Each adult female has only one calf every two years. Soon after birth, mother and young join schools that provide some protection against crocodiles, lions, and hyenas.
Take a look at these little ones and be overjoyed by their cuteness.
