Genuinely helping others comes from the heart, especially if you've experienced what it feels like to be in a bad situation. And in your mind are thoughts of how you can pay it forward like the people who helped you in times of trouble.

Giving back is the best thing to do and spread kindness.

Jocelyn Morris

One woman from Erie, Pennsylvania is "giving it back" by providing hundreds of meals to people during the holidays and dropping them off right at their front door.

Jocelyn Morris started this tradition after people in her community provided her a meal during the holidays when she needed it most. Now, she's sharing that exact kindness with others.

Morris has Facebook page Jocelyn's Holiday Meals, where she religiously gives people gifts and meals during Christmas.

She started it about a year ago and already helped more than 500 people in the community, with the help of volunteers at First Church of the Covenant.

She's currently is collecting supplies and food items and hopes more people will give back this season.

"One person helping somebody allows other people to start helping somebody," said Morris. "I hope my actions allow other people to do good things, too. I've seen it, even signing somebody up or giving them a meal on a cold day."

Morris, together with her team of volunteers will deliver Christmas meals before Christmas. She said she can always use more volunteers and donations.

If you are in need of a meal during the holidays, you can sign up on her Facebook page Jocelyn's Holiday Meals.

“No kind action ever stops with itself. One kind action leads to another. Good example is followed. A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees. The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves.”

- Amelia Earhart
