Instead of Giving Cash, Pay It  Forward Businessman Offered Job to a Homeless Man

There are a lot of homeless people around the world with different stories that touch our lives.

But in some cases, they will not be homeless forever. There are some people who are more than blessed and willing to help fellow humans who had misfortunes in life.

A kind-hearted businessman received thousands of praises on social media after his story went viral when he decided to give a homeless man a job, rather than give a monetary amount.

James offered job to Ryan.

A 25-year-old street dweller, Ryan Davidson, approached Newcastle businessman James Minn and asked him for cash.

Instead, the 40-year-old businessman who was celebrating his 15th wedding anniversary with his wife and two friends decided to chat with Ryan, and find out more about the young man asking for money.

After learning that Ryan had been jobless for about three-years, Mr. Minn decided to give him a chance and offered him work as a laborer at his powder coating firm.

Ryan worked as a laborer in James powder coating firm.

"We chatted for a while and then he said he had a company and could offer me a job - I couldn't believe it", Ryan said.

James posted the news on Facebook and more than 16,000 people reacted to the story.

Unfortunately, Ryan missed his first day at work.

A milkman named Ian Cutts had offered to collect him at 6.30am but the homeless young man was a no-show.

Ryan is grateful to James kindness.

Mr. Minn was disappointed, but he later heard that Ryan had an emergency housing appointment and no credit on his phone to let him be informed.

The following day, Ryan showed up on time.

The businessman, from Washington, in Tyne and Wear, said he made the right decision after all.

He added: 'He is getting the break that he deserves. I'm not bothered by his past. I just want him to move forward. 'I've always been interested in how people end up in that situation. I just got talking to him and he seemed like a genuinely nice lad.

'I asked him, 'if someone offered you a job would you take it?' He said, '1,000 percent I would,' so I offered him one. It isn't just about a job. It is amazing what else can come from it.

Ryan, from Newcastle said: "I feel so lucky. Just days ago I was sitting on the streets trying to make enough money to get something to eat and now I've got a job and I'm looking for a flat."

Thank you Mr. James Minn for your generosity. Hopefully, you'll be an inspiration to other like-minded businessmen to help more homeless people get back on their feet.

“You can't live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you.”
