Husky Becomes Instant Mom to Abandoned Kittens

Dogs are one of the kind-hearted animals humans can have as a companion. They may not talk, but you're certain that they understand or feel whatever emotion we have.

Not only to humans, they also have good hearts to those around them. Just like this service dog, who becomes an instant mom to abandoned kittens.

“She’s very maternal,” Whitney told.

Meet Banner.

Service dog Banner has a heart of gold. She is dedicated to helping her owner, Whitney Braley with her disability. Not only that, Banner also has an ability to rescuing other animals in need and caring for them.

The 3-year-old Husky has been with Whitney since she was a pup, and Whitney trained Banner herself to assist her and others with a variety of things.

“She alerts to PTSD episodes, anxiety attacks, migraines, guide work, momentum pull, medication retrieval, self-harm interruption and a few more,” Whitney narrated.

“We do a lot of rescues, and she’s always been attached to kittens." Two years ago, Whitney had a first bottle baby kitten that was found in a ditch, and amazingly Banner raised her. The cat still lives with them.

Motherly instinct

One day, Banner found something that was just heartbreaking. A sealed cardboard box in the woods, with 7 newborn kittens freezing to death. Banner alerted Whitney and led her to the woods, where after opening the box she proceeded to pick out the tiny kittens, one by one.

Whitney thought that whoever left these kittens, left them to die. “They probably thought that no one would ever discover them. I don’t even know how Banner knew they were in there. The kittens were freezing and weren’t meowing or anything.”

“Now I will find the kittens appropriate homes, that will love them forever”.

Since then, Banner hasn’t left the kittens side and has adopted them as if they were her own. Whitney got Banner spayed around 1 and half years old, but acts like she had already babies.

Now, Whitney will find the kittens forever homes, that will love them forever.

Banner is definitely a true hero, dedicated to helping her human and other animals of all kinds. She also has her own Instagram and Facebook Page, with thousands of followers.

“Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen.”
