Airman Surprises Family That Will Melt Your Heart

Working as military men and women means you'll be away from your family for quite a long time. So, when any chance to reunite everyone-both parties is looking forward to the homecoming from deployment.

It is an incredibly emotional moment most especially when done with a surprise.

Just like Captain Hyrum Bronson. He pulled his homecoming surprise and the reaction of his family will just absolutely melt your heart.

Captain Bronson works as a doctor for the US Air Force and was scheduled to be deployed for six months in Afghanistan. His family thought that he still had three weeks left of his deployment before he would be able to return home – but he returns a little bit earlier.

Captain Bronson’s wife, Bethany thought that she wouldn’t see her husband for another three weeks. So, she stayed on a United States military base in Okinawa Island, Japan along with their four children.

Captain Bronson had help from his close friend and they pulled the surprise effectively.

His friend convinced Bethany and the kids to enjoy the weather and take a swim. The Pacific Ocean is great for snorkeling and taking deep dives, and they definitely seemed to enjoy their time off in the beautiful blue water.

As part of their act, his friend brought a camera and told the family that he would record a message and send it to Captain Bronson via Facebook. 

After a while,  something strange starts emerging out of the water. A strange man fully equipped with scuba diving gear was standing right behind them, and it took a couple of seconds before Bethany and the kids noticed.

This mysterious figure was none other than Captain Bronson himself, who wanted to surprise his beautiful family with an early homecoming.

Bethany couldn’t believe that he's actually with them.

The whole family was completely overwhelmed with emotion and it truly makes for a fantastic reunion.

Bethany decided to share the video captured by their friend on YouTube, where it quickly went viral with almost 20 million views.

“After being in Afghanistan for 6 months and 3 months of training in the States before that with only a short month home in between, he is finally home! We thought he was coming home 3 weeks from now, but he is sneaky. We can’t believe he is finally back home with us!” she wrote.

“It's very hard to feel the difficulties that the military goes through. It's very hard to feel the difficulties of military families, unless you're in that environment. And sometimes you have to force yourself to try and put yourself in other people's sort of shoes and environment to get the sense of that.”
